Business
Polisan Holding A.S. is a Turkey-based diversified industrial conglomerate engaged in the manufacturing of chemicals, coatings, and resins, as well as the provision of port storage logistics and real estate development services. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Dilovasi, Kocaeli, Turkey, the company operates across four primary business segments: Paint, Chemicals, Port Operations, and Real Estate. Through its coatings subsidiary Polisan Kansai Boya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., a joint venture with Japan-based Kansai Paint Co., Ltd., the company develops, manufactures, and markets architectural interior and exterior wall paints; primers and decorative finishes; wood preservatives and varnishes; metal topcoats; road marking paints; thermal insulation systems; and industrial coatings under brand names such as Elegans, Natura, Primera, Perla, and Exelans. Through Polisan Kimya Sanayi A.S., the company manufactures formaldehyde and formaldehyde resins, including urea-formaldehyde, melamine-formaldehyde, and phenol-formaldehyde resins used in wood-based panel and furniture production; concrete and cement chemical admixtures; underground construction chemicals; and diesel exhaust fluid under the AdBlue brand. Through its international subsidiary Polisan Hellas S.A., located in Volos, Greece, the company produces polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resins and preforms for food and beverage packaging applications. Through Poliport Kimya Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., the company owns and operates an independent liquid chemical terminal and port facility located in the Gulf of Izmit, providing bulk liquid chemical storage; dry bulk and general cargo handling; container stevedoring; and customs warehousing services. Through Polisan Yapi Insaat Taahhut Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S., the company manages and develops commercial, industrial, and residential real estate properties. Polisan Holding serves industrial manufacturers, construction contractors, commercial enterprises, and retail consumers across Turkey, Greece, Europe, and neighboring export markets. In recent operational and strategic developments, Polisan Holding has executed capacity expansion and infrastructure modernization projects across the Poliport Kimya terminal to increase specialized bulk liquid chemical tank storage capacity and enhance vessel turnaround efficiency. Polisan Hellas has upgraded its manufacturing capabilities to produce food-grade recycled polyethylene terephthalate (r-PET) resin blends in compliance with European Union packaging and sustainability standards. Additionally, Polisan Kansai Boya has scaled automated production lines at its LEED-certified GEBKIM manufacturing facility, expanding its offering of low-VOC, energy-efficient architectural coatings, while Polisan Kimya has expanded its portfolio of high-performance concrete admixtures and specialty resins. The group has also pursued strategic portfolio optimization, prioritizing investments in core chemical production, sustainable resin technologies, and high-margin port logistics infrastructure.
