Business
Visne Madencilik Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (VSNMD.IS) engages in the mining, processing, and wholesaling of lime and related construction materials primarily in Turkey. Founded in 1952 and headquartered in Alsancak, Izmir, the company operates under Öztüre Holding A.Ş. since its incorporation in 2010, with integrated facilities in Adana (Çelemli and Ceyhan), Kahramanmaraş (Pazarcık and Narlı), producing quicklime (calcium oxide in powder, granulated, and lump forms), slaked lime (calcium hydroxide), limestone aggregates, ready-to-use sand, filling materials, concrete materials, humidity absorbents, and degassers; these products serve sectors including iron and steel (48% of output), construction, mining, agriculture (pH balancing and soil stabilization), flue gas treatment, sludge preparation, chemicals, paper, pulp, synthetic soda, glass, sugar, and non-steel metals. The company maintains three main production sites with a combined annual capacity exceeding 810,000 tons, including Adana-Çelemli's 1,250 tons per day quicklime output via five kilns (one of Turkey's highest single-location capacities), Kahramanmaraş-Pazarcık's 1,000 tons per day across four kilns, and Ceyhan's quarry-crushing-slaking operations. Recent developments include its initial public offering on Borsa İstanbul in early 2025 following draft prospectus submission, capacity expansions through new kilns commissioned in 2023, the 2013 acquisition of Çukurova Kireç Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., the establishment of the Kahramanmaraş-Narlı facility in 2021 with four kilns, and an earlier exit from a 50-50 partnership with global lime producer Carmeuse.
