Global X Founder-Run Companies ETF (BOSS) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to track the performance of the Solactive U.S. Founder-Run Companies Index by providing equal-weighted exposure to U.S. companies, primarily mid- and large-cap, where a founder or co-founder serves as the chief executive officer; the fund invests in public equities across diversified sectors, including growth and value stocks, with top holdings such as AppLovin Corporation (APP), Wayfair Inc. (W), Palantir Technologies Inc. (PLTR), NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA), and Rivian Automotive Inc. (RIVN). Launched on February 13, 2017, by Global X Management Company LLC, a subsidiary of Mirae Asset Global Investments following its 2018 acquisition, the ETF was headquartered in New York prior to operational changes.
In October 2023, Global X announced the liquidation of BOSS along with three other ETFs, with trading ceasing on November 10, 2023, and final cash settlement to shareholders thereafter, marking a significant operational wind-down amid portfolio rationalization efforts. Despite the delisting, certain platforms continue to list BOSS with recent pricing data as of December 2025, potentially reflecting residual or relaunch activity, though official records confirm its closure. Global X, the issuer founded in 2008 and based at 605 Third Avenue in New York, operates globally with offices in Newark, Miami, and London, offering broader suites of thematic growth, income, commodity, international, core, and alpha ETFs targeting emerging technologies, consumer shifts, and structural economic trends.
