Business
Asian Hotels (West) Limited Asian Hotels (West) Limited (AHLWEST.NS) is an India-based holding company engaged in the ownership and operation of luxury hotels, primarily through its subsidiary Aria Hotels and Consultancy Services Private Limited. The company owns and operates the Hyatt Regency Mumbai, a five-star property offering guest rooms, conference facilities, dining outlets including fine-dining restaurants and bars, banquet services, spa, swimming pool, and related hospitality amenities; and through its subsidiary, the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity, a 523-room five-star deluxe hotel featuring extensive food and beverage options such as Adrift Kaya (pan-Asian cuisine), K3 (multi-cuisine all-day dining), Delhi Baking Company (bakery), Quan Spa, and award-winning conference and event spaces. It targets business travelers, leisure guests, and corporate events in key urban markets, with operations concentrated in Mumbai and New Delhi, India; founded in 2007 as Chillwinds Hotels Private Limited and headquartered at 6th Floor, Aria Towers, JW Marriott, New Delhi Aerocity, Asset Area 4, Hospitality District, near IGI Airport, New Delhi. In a significant development, the company successfully resolved its Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP), initiated by Yes Bank under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code in September 2022, when the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal set aside the admission order in January 2024 under Section 12A, restoring the suspended board of directors and enabling operational normalization. Post-resolution, the board was reconstituted with appointments including executive directors Amit Saraf and Rakesh Kumar Aggarwal, independent directors such as Ravinder Singhania, Shekhar Gulzarilal Gupta, and Saumen Chatterjee, alongside key managerial personnel like Chief Financial Officer Harish Kumar Gautam and Company Secretary Nidhi Khandelwal; the JW Marriott New Delhi Aerocity earned multiple accolades in fiscal 2024, including Best Airport Hotel in India & South Asia, Best Business Hotel, and recognitions for its F&B outlets. The holding structure maintains Aria as a material subsidiary owning the New Delhi asset, with consolidated revenue reaching INR 410 crore for fiscal 2024 amid hospitality sector recovery, though standalone operations reflected losses due to the Mumbai property closure during CIRP.
