Originally founded in 1963 and headquartered in Maharashtra, India, the company historically operated as a road freight and logistics services provider. In recent corporate developments, the company executed a strategic business pivot into the organized dairy sector, culminating in a corporate rebranding from SER Industries Limited to Desi Farms India Limited in March 2026 following regulatory and shareholder approvals. To accelerate its market expansion and backward supply chain integration, the company approved the dual acquisition of dairy entities SNA Milk and DFSU Farmer Connect, relocated its corporate registered office to Maharashtra, and initiated capital raising through preferential share allotments to fund processing plant modernization, cold-chain logistics enhancements, and retail network expansion across key urban markets in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
