The company engages in the production, curation, creation, conversion, procurement, buying, selling, and distribution of multimedia content through digital and print media primarily in India. Founded in 2005 as a joint venture between Essel Group and Bhaskar Group and headquartered in Mumbai, it consolidated its print media business via a scheme of arrangement with former parent Zee Media Corporation Limited in 2017-18, ceasing print publication of DNA and Zee Marathi Disha in late 2019 before relaunching DNA Hindi Edition in fiscal 2022-23 and expanding its online news media business since 2025; in March 2025, Sushant Mohan resigned as CEO effective March 31.
