RACL operates across India and has a global presence including Austria, Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Thailand, Vietnam, the United States, China, and Sweden. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Noida, India, the company was formerly known as Raunaq Automotive Components Limited before changing its name in 2015. In the last 1-2 years, RACL Geartech has undertaken significant strategic initiatives to strengthen its market position. It entered into a technical agreement with ARRK Engineering GmbH of Germany to integrate advanced design, prototyping, virtual simulation, testing, and validation services with its manufacturing capabilities, enabling it to offer end-to-end drivetrain and transmission solutions for automotive and e-mobility markets. The company secured a long-term supply order for transmission gears from a reputed Indian premium motorcycle manufacturer and won new contracts with major OEMs including projects with BMW for electric sports car drivetrains and gearboxes, and a key partnership with KTM, a premium two-wheeler manufacturer that accounts for about 15% of RACL’s revenue. This agreement with KTM is poised to drive revenue growth following Bajaj Auto's capital infusion and operational revival at KTM.
