Founded in 1826 as McDowell & Company in Chennai and headquartered at UB Tower in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, United Spirits Limited functions as a subsidiary of Diageo through Relay B.V. Recent developments include the acquisition of a 97.07% stake in NAO Spirits & Beverages Private Limited for an enterprise value of Rs130 crore in June 2025 to bolster its craft spirits portfolio with brands like Greater Than gin, aligning with premiumisation strategies and leveraging Diageo's distribution network for domestic and international expansion.
