Business
GRANIT Bank Nyilvanosan Mukodo Reszvenytarsasag operates as a digital-first commercial bank providing retail, corporate, and investment banking solutions primarily in Hungary and across the Central and Eastern European region. The bank operates through three principal business segments: Retail Banking, Corporate Banking, and Investment and Wealth Management. Its Retail Banking segment offers digital and mobile account opening with biometric verification; domestic and multi-currency current accounts; fixed-rate and indexed term deposits; residential mortgage loans, home improvement financing, and government-subsidized retail lending facilities; unsecured digital personal loans; debit and credit card issuance with digital wallet integration; and domestic and cross-border wire transfer and payment services. Its Corporate Banking segment provides business checking and escrow accounts; working capital financing and revolving credit lines; structured investment loans and project financing; subsidized enterprise loans under national credit frameworks such as the Szechenyi Card Program; cash management, liquidity optimization, and factoring services; commercial documentary operations; and treasury services, including foreign currency spot, forward, and derivative hedging solutions. Its Investment and Wealth Management segment offers securities brokerage and custody services; domestic government debt, corporate bond, and equities trading; private banking and discretionary asset management; and third-party and proprietary mutual fund distribution. Founded in 2010 and headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, the institution delivers its services predominantly through proprietary mobile banking applications, web platforms, and its integrated video banking system. In recent strategic developments, the company converted into a public limited company and listed its shares and debt securities on the Budapest Stock Exchange. The institution expanded its geographic presence internationally by launching digital banking services in Romania to offer cross-border retail financial services. Additionally, the bank strengthened its wealth management and capital markets capabilities through strategic integrations with Diofa Asset Management (Diofa Alapkezelo) and Equilor Investment Ltd. (Equilor Befektetesi), expanded its portfolio of sustainable green mortgages and corporate ESG loans, and deployed artificial intelligence-based customer service and automated credit assessment tools.
