- VERTIKAL Group Nyilvanosan Mukodo Reszvenytarsasag is a Hungary-based integrated environmental management and plastics manufacturing company specializing in circular economy solutions, comprehensive waste management, and industrial plastics production. Established with operational roots dating back to 1970 and organized in its current corporate structure in 2015, the company is headquartered in Budapest, Hungary, and is publicly listed on the Budapest Stock Exchange under the ticker BUD:VERTI.
The company operates through two primary integrated business divisions: Waste and Environmental Management, and Plastics Manufacturing and Processing. VERTIKAL Group provides a comprehensive spectrum of products and services, including; municipal solid waste collection, transportation, sorting, and disposal; selective and recyclable waste management; hazardous and industrial waste collection, processing, and environmental remediation; composting and organic waste treatment; production of refuse-derived fuel (RDF) and solid recovered fuel (SRF); landfill operation and environmental monitoring; secondary plastic sorting, grinding, and recycled plastic regranulate production; high-precision plastic injection moulding and contract manufacturing; production of waste collection containers, bins, and municipal waste equipment; manufacture of heavy-duty plastic grass pavers and lawn grid systems; production of plastic garden furniture, household consumer plastics, and storage products; and custom tooling design, engineering support, mould production, component assembly, and distribution logistics.
VERTIKAL Group serves municipal authorities, public sector institutions, commercial enterprises, industrial corporations, and consumer retail markets across Hungary, providing services to more than 300 municipalities. The company functions as a key regional operating subcontractor within Hungary's centralized 35-year waste management concession framework in partnership with MOHU MOL Hulladékgazdálkodási Zrt., linking upstream waste retrieval directly to downstream secondary raw material manufacturing.
In recent corporate developments, VERTIKAL Group has executed substantial strategic expansions and capital market advancements to scale its circular manufacturing capabilities. In 2025, the company acquired a controlling interest in Miskolc-based plastics manufacturer Flair-Plastic Kft. through intermediate holding company Plast-X Partner Kft. in a share exchange transaction valued at approximately HUF 1.3 billion, materially enhancing its injection moulding facilities, automated machinery assets, and finished goods portfolio. In late 2025, private equity firm Hodler Capital secured an approximate 10% equity stake in VERTIKAL Group through a targeted capital increase, strengthening institutional shareholder backing and supporting growth initiatives. Operationally, the company implemented an Employee Share Ownership Program (ESOP/MRP) backed by structured share repurchase programs, and in September 2026, received regulatory prospectus approval from the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB) to advance its up-listing from the Budapest Stock Exchange Xtend multilateral trading facility to the regulated BSE Standard Market.
