Business
Vrancart SA is a Romania-based manufacturing and recycling company primarily engaged in the production of corrugated cardboard, packaging paper, tissue paper, and the collection and processing of recyclable materials. Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Adjud, Vrancea County, Romania, the company operates as the parent entity of the Vrancart Group, with Lion Capital SA (formerly SIF Banat-Crisana) serving as its majority shareholder. Vrancart SA structures its core activities across packaging paper production, cardboard packaging manufacturing, consumer sanitary tissue products, and waste management services. The company's product and service portfolio includes: recycled packaging base paper, comprising fluting and testliner rolls utilized in the fabrication of corrugated board; corrugated cardboard sheets available in two-, three-, and five-layer configurations across varied flute profiles; standard American slotted cases, custom die-cut packaging boxes, shelf-ready retail packaging, microflute containers, heavy-duty industrial shipping boxes, and multi-color flexographic printed boxes; and sanitary tissue paper products, comprising single-ply and multi-ply toilet paper, household paper towels, napkins, industrial wipe rolls, and jumbo mother reels supplied to commercial distributors, institutional facilities, and retail networks under proprietary brands and private labels. In addition, the company provides industrial waste recovery and processing services through an extensive nationwide network of collection centers across major Romanian metropolitan areas, managing the intake, sorting, baling, and reprocessing of waste paper, corrugated board, and recyclable plastics. Vrancart SA serves a diverse corporate and institutional client base, including fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) producers, food and beverage processors, automotive component manufacturers, agricultural producers, logistics providers, and major retail chains across Romania and international markets in Central and Eastern Europe. The group operates key operating subsidiaries, including Rom Paper SRL, a specialized tissue paper converter and distributor, and Vrancart Recycling SRL, focused on post-industrial and post-consumer plastic and material recycling. In recent strategic developments, Vrancart SA has executed major capital investment programs focused on decarbonization, production capacity expansion, and circular economy integration; recent actions include the commissioning and development of on-site photovoltaic solar power plants and high-efficiency cogeneration units at its Adjud manufacturing complex to optimize energy self-sufficiency; extensive modernization and technological upgrades to its paper mill machinery and corrugated board converting equipment; the commercial expansion of Vrancart Recycling SRL through dedicated processing facilities for polyethylene and polypropylene industrial plastics; and the deeper operational integration of Rom Paper SRL to broaden regional retail market penetration for sanitary paper goods.
