Banque Attijari de Tunisie SA is a Tunisia-based commercial banking institution that provides a comprehensive range of retail, corporate, investment, and private banking products and financial services to individual consumers, professionals, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and large corporate entities. The bank operates across several core business segments, including Retail and Personal Banking, Corporate and Institutional Banking, and Financial Markets and Asset Management. Its primary products and services comprise demand deposit accounts, savings schemes, and fixed-term deposits; debit, credit, and prepaid payment cards; consumer credit, residential mortgage loans, and vehicle financing; foreign currency deposit accounts and remittance services for non-resident clients and Tunisians living abroad; bancassurance products covering life, health, home, and automobile protection; online and mobile banking platforms for electronic account management and remote payments; short-, medium-, and long-term commercial credit facilities; syndicated loans and structured project financing; treasury management, cash pooling, and liquidity optimization services; trade finance solutions, including documentary credits, export-import financing, and international guarantees; foreign exchange dealing, interest rate hedging, and money market operations; factoring and equipment leasing; and investment banking services encompassing securities brokerage, mutual fund management (OPCVM), private equity investments, and corporate finance advisory. Originally established in 1968 under the name Banque du Sud and subsequently restructured and rebranded as Banque Attijari de Tunisie following its acquisition by the Morocco-based Attijariwafa bank Group in 2006, the institution is headquartered in Tunis, Tunisia. It conducts its primary operations through an extensive domestic network of retail branches, business centers, and automated teller machines distributed across Tunisia, while utilizing its parent group's broader international network across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East to facilitate cross-border trade and multinational corporate transactions. In recent strategic developments, Banque Attijari de Tunisie has accelerated the execution of its multi-year digital transformation program, deploying enhanced digital onboarding channels, automated credit processing systems, and upgraded mobile banking applications. The bank has also expanded its sustainable and green financing portfolio by partnering with international development financial institutions to provide specialized credit lines for energy efficiency, decarbonization, and SME competitiveness projects, alongside launching periodic subordinated bond issuances on the Tunis Stock Exchange to strengthen its regulatory capital adequacy and fund continued balance sheet expansion.
