- Cascadero Copper Corporation is a Canadian mineral exploration and development company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of cesium, copper, gold, silver and other mineral prospects in northwestern Argentina. The Company’s principal activity is the advancement of the Taron Cesium project in the Argentine Puna, comprising the El Oculto, Centauro, Cerro Lari I, Cerro Lari II, Las Burras, Incahuasi and Santa Rosa properties, which host targets prospective for cesium, rubidium, thallium, gold, silver, copper, molybdenum, lead, zinc, bismuth and uranium mineralization. Its exploration portfolio includes sediment-hosted cesium-silver deposits and cesium-rubidium-thallium systems; porphyry and epithermal gold-copper-molybdenum targets; gold-silver vein systems; silver-zinc-lead occurrences; and high- and low-sulphidation volcanic-hosted mineral prospects. The Company conducts its activities principally in Salta and Jujuy provinces, Argentina, and maintains its head office in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Cascadero Copper is listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol CCD.
The Company historically held interests in a broader portfolio of Argentine mineral rights through Cascadero Minerals Corporation, including the La Sarita, Sarita Este, Sarita Sur, Francisco, Desierto, Amarillo and Viejo Campo properties. On September 1, 2026, Cascadero entered into an agreement with Lumina Copper Corp., a wholly owned affiliate of First Quantum Minerals Ltd., and director Nelson Borch to sell all outstanding shares of Cascadero Minerals Corporation, which is 70% owned by Cascadero, for US$15 million in cash at closing, subject to adjustments, plus up to US$4 million in deferred milestone payments linked to the Taca Taca project. Before closing, Cascadero plans to reorganize its Argentine operations so that Cascadero Minerals S.A. becomes a directly owned subsidiary and the Company retains the seven-property Taron Cesium project. Subject to shareholder, TSX Venture Exchange and other required approvals, the transaction represents a strategic shift toward concentrating the Company’s resources on exploration and development of the Taron Cesium project and its remaining Argentine exploration portfolio. Cascadero has commissioned a preliminary economic assessment for Taron and continues research and development work on a patent-pending mineral-processing flowsheet using Taron mineral samples.
