Business
CCOM Group, Inc. engages primarily in the distribution of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment (HVAC); whole-house generators; climate control systems; plumbing and electrical fixtures and supplies; and associated parts and accessories. The company offers additional services including control system design, custom control panel fabrication, technical field support, in-house training, and climate control consultation for engineers and installers. It markets its products primarily to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical contractors, as well as building contractors, serving residential, commercial, and industrial customers mainly within New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, eastern Pennsylvania, Connecticut, and Vermont. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Hawthorne, New Jersey, CCOM operates through subsidiaries including Universal Supply Group, The RAL Supply Group, and S&A Supply. In a significant recent change, CCOM Group, Inc. was acquired by Daikin Comfort Technologies North America, Inc. in early 2022 as part of Daikin's FUSION 25 strategic plan to unify its brands and expand its HVAC distribution footprint in North America. Under this acquisition, CCOM continues to supply and promote Goodman and Amana branded residential unitary equipment, Daikin ductless and light commercial HVAC products, and a broad range of additional HVAC, indoor air quality, hydronic, plumbing, and electrical equipment throughout its 15 locations across the Northeast. The acquisition has bolstered financial performance, with a reported 18.1% sales increase to $120.35 million and significant gains in gross profit and net income for 2021. CCOM Group operates in the HVAC and building products distribution industry, targeting contractors and end users in the Northeast U.S. market. Through its extensive product portfolio, technical services, and regional facilities, the company supports the installation and maintenance of heating, cooling, and climate control systems. This strategic integration into Daikin reinforces its market presence and broadens its geographical reach under a unified business model.
