The company operates through its key business areas: ATCO Energy Systems, ATCO EnPower, ATCO Australia, and Corporate & Other. The ATCO Energy Systems segment is responsible for regulated electricity transmission and distribution across northern and central east Alberta, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories, alongside integrated natural gas transmission and distribution in Alberta and Saskatchewan’s Lloydminster area, and additional international electricity operations. ATCO EnPower focuses on developing sustainable energy solutions, encompassing electricity generation, energy storage, industrial water provision, and clean fuels like hydrogen, with activities spanning Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Ontario, Mexico, and Chile. The ATCO Australia segment develops, owns, and operates energy and infrastructure assets, including regulated natural gas distribution in Western Australia and electricity generation. The Corporate & Other segment manages retail electricity and natural gas services within Alberta, through ATCOenergy and Rumi.
