Business
China Art Financial Holdings Limited (HKSE:1572; OTC:CHFHF), an investment holding company founded in 2004 and headquartered in Yixing City, Jiangsu Province, People's Republic of China, operates as a provider of art finance services principally in the PRC through three segments: art and asset pawn business offering pawn loans secured by artworks and assets including zisha artworks, paintings, calligraphies, and jewel artworks with loan terms typically up to six months at interest rates of 6-12% per annum; art and asset auction business providing online auction and agency services for artworks, commercial properties, and carparks; and art and asset sales business engaging in trading of zisha artworks, calligraphies, and paintings sourced from its customer network and market vendors. The company maintains contractual arrangements with Jiangsu Hexin Pawn Co., Ltd. and Jiangsu Hexin Auction Co., Ltd., treating them as indirect wholly-owned subsidiaries, and is a subsidiary of Intelligenesis Investment Co., Ltd. with operations focused on the PRC market where the majority of revenue is generated. Recent developments include the issuance of 12.5 million new shares in April 2024 raising approximately RMB1.3 million net proceeds earmarked for a potential joint venture in software services for community retail settlement systems; revenue growth in art and asset sales business to RMB39.2 million for the six months ended June 30, 2025 driven by increased trading volumes; a 15-fold surge in auction revenue to RMB98,000 in the same period amid expanded promotion efforts; strategic relocation of its principal PRC business address causing a temporary suspension of new pawn loans from March to May 2025; entry into an unsecured revolving credit facility of up to HK$30 million in H1 2025 bearing 5% annual interest; appointment of Mr. Zou Chengyu as chief executive officer in May 2025 following Ms. Lam Siu Mui's resignation; and plans to develop digital financial services for county-level economies, fresh produce supply chains, AI, and electric vehicle-related opportunities.
