Global X Commodity Strategy ETF, formerly Global X Funds - Global X Commodity Strategy ETF and traded under the ticker COMD, is a U.S.-listed actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks capital appreciation by providing investors with indirect exposure to commodity assets. The fund invests principally in long commodity futures contracts and exchange-traded products that invest in physical commodities; maintains collateral and liquidity positions in U.S. Treasury securities, cash and cash equivalents, and shares of the affiliated Global X 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF; and may invest through the Global X Subsidiary, which provides futures and physical-commodity-ETP exposure. The fund generally invests at least 80% of assets in instruments providing commodity exposure and primarily targets commodity exposures represented in the Bloomberg Commodity Index, while retaining discretion to invest in selected off-benchmark commodities. COMD’s commodity-investment universe includes energy commodities such as crude oil, gasoline, heating oil and natural gas; precious and industrial metals such as gold, copper, aluminum and zinc; agricultural commodities including wheat, corn, soybeans, soybean oil, cocoa, sugar and cotton; and, where deemed appropriate, off-benchmark exposures associated with innovation and electrification themes, including bitcoin, uranium, platinum and palladium. Portfolio construction combines fundamental commodity research, futures-trading expertise, and quantitative macroeconomic, trend and momentum models developed by Wealthspot LLC, an affiliate of the adviser; Global X Management Company LLC retains final investment discretion. The fund serves U.S. and other eligible institutional, intermediary and individual investors seeking liquid, exchange-traded access to a diversified and actively managed commodity strategy without issuance of K-1 tax forms. Global X Funds launched COMD on February 11, 2026, marking an expansion of Global X Management Company LLC’s commodity ETF lineup. The fund is listed on Cboe BZX, carries a 0.55% total annual operating expense ratio, and is benchmarked against the Bloomberg Commodity Total Return Index for performance comparison. Its launch introduced a strategy that combines commodity-futures exposure with physical commodity ETPs and an actively managed selection process rather than solely tracking a rules-based commodity index. Global X Funds is headquartered in New York, New York, and COMD operates as a series of Global X Funds under the management of Global X Management Company LLC.
