Business
AB Active ETFs, Inc. is a Maryland-incorporated open-end investment management company that sponsors the AB Core Bond ETF (NYSE Arca: CORB), an actively managed taxable core fixed-income exchange-traded fund advised by AllianceBernstein L.P. and headquartered through its adviser at 66 Hudson Boulevard East, New York, New York. CORB seeks safety of principal and a moderate to high level of current income by investing in a diversified portfolio of fixed-income instruments, including U.S. government and agency securities; investment-grade corporate bonds; high-yield and lower-rated debt securities; mortgage-related and asset-backed securities; foreign and emerging-market debt securities; inflation-linked securities; cash and short-term instruments; and derivatives, including futures, swaps and other instruments used for portfolio positioning, duration management and risk management. The Fund employs active security selection, sector allocation, yield-curve positioning, duration management, country allocation and a risk-weighted barbell strategy combining rate-sensitive securities and credit exposure. It generally targets an average portfolio credit quality of A or higher, invests at least 75% of assets in investment-grade bonds, and limits CCC-rated exposure to 5% or less, while retaining flexibility to invest opportunistically in off-benchmark global fixed-income sectors. CORB serves individual, advisory, institutional and private-wealth investors seeking actively managed broad fixed-income exposure through an exchange-traded vehicle. The Fund’s principal strategic change occurred in November 2025, when Bernstein Intermediate Duration Institutional Portfolio was converted from an open-end mutual fund into the AB Core Bond ETF; prior to November 7, 2025, the Fund operated under its predecessor mutual-fund structure and name. AllianceBernstein launched CORB for trading on the New York Stock Exchange in November 2025 alongside the AB New York Intermediate Municipal ETF, broadening its active fixed-income ETF offering; Jane Street acts as lead market maker for the Funds.
