Canal Capital Corporation (COWP) engages in real estate and stockyard operations in the United States. The company develops, manages, and sells agribusiness-related real estate properties, including exchange buildings, land and structures leased to meat packing facilities, railcar repair shops, lumber yards, and various commercial and retail businesses, as well as vacant land for development or resale; its properties are located in Sioux City, Iowa, South St. Paul, Minnesota, St. Joseph, Missouri, and Omaha, Nebraska. Canal Capital also operates a central public stockyard in St. Joseph, Missouri, providing livestock sale facilities and services such as veterinary services, auction arenas, auctioneers, weigh masters and scales, feed and bedding, security personnel, and specialty sales for producer organizations; additionally, the company sells antiquities through independent art dealers and public auctions. Founded in 1964 and headquartered in Port Jefferson Station, New York, Canal Capital focuses on the agribusiness sector with operations confined to the central United States.
