In recent operations, HDFC Bank of Sri Lanka has executed a strategic diversification program to expand its footprint beyond traditional residential mortgages into micro, small, and medium enterprise lending and green financing. The bank has broadened its digital banking capabilities through upgraded core banking infrastructure, enhanced mobile application functionality, and digitized field collection technologies to accelerate financial inclusion across underserved rural and semi-urban markets. Additionally, the bank has introduced targeted green lending facilities, including dedicated financing schemes for residential rooftop solar energy systems in alignment with national renewable energy initiatives. The institution has also strengthened its balance sheet management, reinforcing capital adequacy and liquidity buffers in compliance with Central Bank of Sri Lanka Basel III directives and enhancing credit underwriting and risk mitigation frameworks.
