Akdital S.A. is a Morocco-based healthcare services provider that develops and operates a nationwide and international network of private multidisciplinary hospitals, specialized clinics, and dedicated oncology centers. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, the group provides comprehensive clinical care across primary, secondary, and tertiary disciplines to domestic and international patients, supported by universal health insurance coverage and private health schemes. The company organizes its medical and surgical operations into specialized units and service lines, offering oncology and hematology care, including medical chemotherapy, external radiotherapy, brachytherapy, radiosurgery, and nuclear medicine; cardiovascular medicine, including interventional cardiology, coronary angioplasty, electrophysiology, and open-heart cardiac surgery; neurological and neurosurgical interventions; critical care and resuscitation services, including adult intensive care, continuous monitoring units, pediatric intensive care, and neonatal intensive care; 24/7 emergency medical services and resuscitation triage; obstetrics, gynecology, fertility services, and neonatal maternity care; visceral, bariatric, and general laparoscopic surgery; orthopedics, traumatology, and joint replacement; nephrology and hemodialysis; diagnostic and interventional radiology, including magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) scanners, PET-CT scans, ultrasound, and digital mammography; medical laboratory diagnostics and anatomic pathology; and physical medicine, functional rehabilitation, and post-operative recovery. In recent strategic and corporate developments, Akdital has significantly expanded its operational footprint through large-scale capital investments, domestic network growth, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and international market entries across the Middle East and North Africa. Domestically, the group has expanded its healthcare network to more than 40 operational facilities across more than 20 Moroccan cities, with ongoing development programs targeting over 60 healthcare units and 6,000 beds by 2027, alongside plans for a decentralized network of regional diagnostic and proximity health centers. Internationally, Akdital initiated a major expansion into the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, committing substantial capital to establish operations in Saudi Arabia, where it operates the Akdital Olaya Hospital in Riyadh and completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Al Bishri Hospital in Mecca (rebranded as Akdital Makkah Al Mukarramah), serving both local residents and medical needs associated with religious tourism. In the United Arab Emirates, the group is constructing a 200-bed multidisciplinary hospital with specialized oncology services in Dubai, while expanding in North Africa via the acquisition of the Taoufik Hospitals Group in Tunisia. To support these domestic and international expansion programs, Akdital successfully completed a 1 billion Moroccan dirham capital increase in July 2024, which was oversubscribed by institutional and retail investors, followed by subsequent corporate debt and bond issuances.
