Société Générale des Travaux du Maroc SA (SGTM) is a Morocco-based construction, civil engineering, and infrastructure contracting company. Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Casablanca, Morocco, the company operates across general construction, public works, maritime engineering, hydraulic infrastructure, energy installations, and industrial development. SGTM serves government agencies, state-owned enterprises, institutional bodies, and private sector industrial clients across Morocco and broader African markets, including Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Senegal, Benin, Guinea, and Tanzania. The company delivers integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions and building materials through specialized subsidiaries and affiliates, including SGTM Energy, SGTM Immobilier, INFRAMET, NOVACIM, and NOVACIMBETON, alongside international operating units such as SGTM Côte d'Ivoire and SGTM Bénin. Its core products and services comprise transport infrastructure development, including motorways, urban expressways, bridge structures, viaducts, railway networks, high-speed rail civil works, airport hubs, and tunnels; maritime and port engineering, including deep-water commercial ports, fishing harbors, breakwaters, quays, jetties, coastal protection installations, and marine dredging; hydraulic and water resources engineering, including large-scale dams, water transfer canals, reservoirs, irrigation infrastructure, and water treatment facilities; commercial, institutional, and residential building construction, including administrative complexes, cultural theaters, university campuses, hospital facilities, luxury hotels, and commercial developments; industrial and energy infrastructure, including thermal power stations, renewable energy installations such as wind and solar farms, mining logistics platforms, and industrial production plants; and construction materials and specialized fabrication services, including ready-mix concrete, precast structural elements, structural steel manufacturing, and deep foundation engineering. In recent developments, SGTM completed an initial public offering (IPO) on the Casablanca Stock Exchange in December 2025 under the ticker symbol GTM, raising 5.04 billion Moroccan dirhams through the sale of a 20 percent equity stake in an operation that was oversubscribed 34 times, significantly broadening its institutional shareholder base. The company has substantially expanded its backlog through landmark project awards and strategic partnerships, including a joint venture consortium with TGCC to execute major civil engineering, superstructure, and envelope packages for the Grand Stade Hassan II in Benslimane. Additionally, SGTM secured critical civil engineering packages for the Kénitra-Marrakech high-speed rail (LGV) expansion, advanced strategic port construction at Nador West Med and Dakhla Atlantique, and progressed infrastructure contracts for the expansion of Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, while accelerating international expansion and green energy infrastructure developments across Sub-Saharan Africa.
