Asian Growth Cubs ETF (CUBS) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in equity securities of issuers listed on securities exchanges in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, the Philippines, and Vietnam, known as the Asian Growth Cubs countries; depositary receipts representing such securities; and ETFs listed on Asian Growth Cubs securities exchanges that invest in similar issuers. The fund employs a proprietary three-stage investment process managed by sub-adviser Kingsway Capital Partners Limited, including systematic screening for minimum market capitalization of $130 million, free float of 10%, liquidity, quality metrics such as revenue and earnings growth, margins, and risk factors like gearing and non-performing loans, followed by discretionary business, valuation, and management reviews, and application of a risk framework that excludes issuers involved in financial fraud or takeover targets. It excludes certain industries related to defense, fossil fuels, gambling, mining, and tobacco based on environmental, social, and governance considerations, targets up to 80 securities including initial public offerings, and operates as a non-diversified fund under the Investment Company Act of 1940. Sponsored by Exchange Listed Funds Trust and advised by Exchange Traded Concepts LLC, with headquarters in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the fund launched in June 2021 and listed shares on NYSE Arca, Inc.. In a major operational change, Exchange Traded Concepts announced the closure and liquidation of the fund, with new creation units halted on August 29, 2023, and trading ceasing thereafter, marking the cessation of its active operations.
