Business
Covista Communications, Inc. (CVST) provides telecommunications and data services to business, residential, and wholesale customers throughout the United States and internationally. The company offers a broad range of voice, data, and Internet solutions, including local and long-distance services; toll-free services; '1+' outbound domestic service across 50 states and global termination to approximately 200 countries; intralATA and interLATA access; calling cards; frame relay; Internet access; virtual private networks; directory assistance; teleconferencing; and hosted IP-PBX services. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Chattanooga, Tennessee, with an address listed in Hickory, North Carolina, Covista operates as a competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) in 48 states and holds FCC 214 authorization as an international facilities-based carrier, serving small- and medium-sized businesses primarily in the northeast U.S., residential users via bundled local and long-distance packages, and wholesale carriers for resale through three segments: retail, residential (formerly KISSLD), and wholesale. Recent developments include continued operation as a public entity on OTC markets with trailing twelve-month revenue of $52.90 million as of late 2025, following a 2013 asset sale to Birch Communications that preserved core network capabilities in Tennessee and New York, and no major acquisitions, partnerships, funding rounds, or strategic shifts reported in the last 1-2 years.
