Discovery Alaska Limited (ASX:DAF) is an Australian-based mineral exploration company focused on gold and base metals projects in Alaska, USA; it holds a 100% interest in the Chulitna Project, comprising 24 mining claims covering 15.5 square kilometers on State of Alaska public lands centered on the Partin Creek gold prospect, targeting gold, lithium, tin, silver, copper and base metals deposits; and it previously held rights to the Vinasale Gold Project spanning approximately 6,500 hectares under a binding mining lease agreement with Doyon, Limited. The company, formerly known as Discovery Africa Limited, changed its name in December 2021 and was incorporated in 2010 with headquarters in Osborne Park, Western Australia. In December 2023, Discovery Alaska relinquished 284 mining claims at Chulitna, reducing the project area to focus on high-potential prospects; in January 2024, it executed the mining lease for Vinasale Gold Project, granting exclusive rights for exploration, development and production activities including mandatory expenditures starting at $40,000; and in May 2025, it terminated the Vinasale lease effective June 30 to preserve cash reserves amid a strategic review of assets and pursuit of new project opportunities, as outlined in its December 2024 quarterly activities report. Discovery Alaska maintains prudent financial management with cash reserves of approximately A$0.35 million as of late 2024 and continues due diligence on potential acquisitions while listed on the Australian Securities Exchange in Perth.
