First Trust Dorsey Wright Momentum & Dividend ETF (DDIV) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results corresponding generally to the price and yield, before the fund's fees and expenses, of the Dorsey Wright Momentum Plus Dividend Yield Index, a rules-based equity index tracking the overall performance of the 50 stocks with the highest dividend yields from the NASDAQ US Large Mid Index that maintain high levels of relative strength, weighted by dividend yield; it provides exposure primarily to mid-cap value stocks across sectors such as financial services, real estate, energy, consumer defensive, and utilities, with approximately 97% allocation to U.S. stocks and minor non-U.S. exposure. Launched on March 10, 2014, and domiciled in the United States, the ETF trades on the NASDAQ exchange under the ticker DDIV and is managed by a team at First Trust Advisors L.P., including Roger Testin, Daniel Lindquist, Jon Erickson, David McGarel, Stan Ueland, Chris Peterson, and Erik Russo; it has total net assets of approximately $67 million and a net expense ratio of 0.60%. A significant operational change occurred on September 6, 2018, when the fund's underlying index shifted from the Richard Bernstein Advisors Quality Income Index to the current Dorsey Wright Momentum Plus Dividend Yield Index, altering its methodology to emphasize momentum alongside high dividend yields; no major partnerships, acquisitions, funding rounds, new product launches, or reorganizations have been reported in the last 1-2 years.
