Discipline Funds is a U.S.-based investment-management firm that sponsors and markets defined-duration, multi-asset exchange-traded funds designed to help investors and financial advisers align portfolios with specified financial-planning horizons. Its principal offerings comprise the Defined Duration ETF suite: the Defined Duration 5 ETF (DDV), a five-year-horizon portfolio; the Defined Duration 10 ETF (DDX), a 10-year-horizon portfolio; and the Defined Duration 20 ETF (DDXX), a 20-year-horizon portfolio. The funds employ a systematic, time-weighted asset-allocation methodology intended to support asset-liability matching, capital preservation and real-return growth across differing investment time frames. DDV, listed on Cboe BZX Exchange in November 2025, targets a five-year defined duration and is intended principally for 3-to-7-year planning needs, including near-retirement expenditures, education funding and major purchases. It generally allocates approximately 80% to 90% of assets to high-quality fixed-income investments, including U.S. Treasury securities and investment-grade corporate-bond exposures, and approximately 10% to 20% to globally diversified equities; the fund rebalances algorithmically and carries a 0.25% net annual expense ratio. Discipline Funds serves individual investors, registered investment advisers, financial planners and other wealth-management clients in the United States through exchange-traded products and related educational and financial-planning resources, including its HourglassFP platform. The firm was founded by Cullen Roche and is headquartered in the United States. In November 2025, Discipline Funds launched its Defined Duration ETF suite, adding DDV and DDXX and repositioning the existing Discipline Fund ETF, formerly traded under ticker DSCF, as the Defined Duration 10 ETF (DDX). The DDX conversion included a fee reduction to 0.25% from 0.39% and enhancements to its underlying duration-maintenance algorithm, while retaining its countercyclical rebalancing approach.
