Business
Demco Public Company Limited engages principally in electric system construction and service works in the fields of electrical engineering and telecommunications in Thailand. The company operates through six primary segments: steel structure fabrication and sales for electric and telecommunication works; electricity generation and sales from solar power; electrical work services including design, construction, and management of electrical projects; engagement work services producing and installing fabricated steel structures and high-pressure vessels; other services including civil works and communications; and sales and service operations related to biomass power plants, encompassing operation, maintenance, and biomass fuel supply. Its product portfolio includes steel supporting structures, steel towers, assembled telecommunication equipment, communication equipment, electrical equipment, and construction materials. The company also invests in renewable energy generation projects and utility systems, including wind and solar roof projects. Founded in 1992, Demco is headquartered in Pathum Thani, Thailand. Recent corporate developments include significant revenue growth driven by increased sales of steel poles, electricity sales, and biomass fuel products, resulting from expanded investments in solar assets and service contract wins such as electric system construction projects with major clients like CHEC Company Limited. For the fiscal year 2024, Demco reported a 39.6% increase in total revenue to approximately 3.2 billion Thai Baht and a 41% year-over-year revenue growth in renewable energy and construction services. Notably, the company reversed asset impairment losses related to a subsidiary’s concession agreement, enhancing financial results. Operational expansions have focused on substation construction, underground power systems, transmission lines, and renewable energy capacity expansion. These strategic actions reflect Demco’s sustained focus on growth within electric engineering, renewable energy, and telecommunications infrastructure sectors in the Thai market. Demco’s key business segments and client base primarily span the industrial, utilities, telecommunications, and construction sectors in Thailand, with ongoing development in renewables and infrastructure construction reflecting its strategic business direction and market positioning. The company continues expanding its solar power generation capacity and services, integrating various components of electrical system supply and construction to maintain its market presence and competitive positioning.
