First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VI – First Trust RBA Deglobalization ETF is a non-diversified, exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results corresponding generally, before fees and expenses, to the price and yield of the Richard Bernstein Advisors U.S. Deglobalization Index. The fund is advised by First Trust Advisors L.P. and invests, under normal conditions, at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in the securities comprising its underlying index. It provides investors with thematic exposure to U.S.-listed, all-capitalization companies that Richard Bernstein Advisors LLC believes may benefit from accelerating deglobalization, including reduced reliance on global supply chains, domestic manufacturing and infrastructure investment, energy independence, heightened geopolitical conflict, and related inflationary pressures.
The ETF’s principal investment exposures include industrials; energy; non-energy materials; aerospace and defense; transportation and logistics; infrastructure-related businesses; cybersecurity; domestic manufacturing and industrial services. The index generally selects companies with material U.S.-derived revenue and applies financial and market-based eligibility screens, including requirements related to market capitalization, share price, liquidity, forward earnings expectations, and leverage relative to sub-industry peers. The portfolio uses a rules-based optimization process intended to manage issuer-specific risk while maintaining the deglobalization theme, with individual securities subject to a 4% weighting cap.
As of July 31, 2026, the fund held approximately 112 positions and was concentrated principally in industrials, representing 49.92% of assets; energy, 23.85%; and non-energy materials, 18.90%. Major holdings included General Dynamics Corp.; Union Pacific Corp.; CSX Corp.; EOG Resources Inc.; Packaging Corporation of America; Armstrong World Industries Inc.; ConocoPhillips; Leonardo DRS Inc.; Zurn Elkay Water Solutions Corp.; and The Toro Co. The ETF is listed on Nasdaq under the ticker DGLO and primarily offers U.S. investors access to a portfolio of domestic-oriented public equities expected to benefit from structural deglobalization trends.
First Trust RBA Deglobalization ETF was launched on August 6, 2025, at an inception price of $19.91 and carries a total annual expense ratio of 0.70% as of February 2, 2026. Its principal recent strategic development is its establishment and commercialization as a new First Trust thematic ETF in August 2025, expanding First Trust’s product lineup through a partnership-driven index strategy based on the Richard Bernstein Advisors U.S. Deglobalization Index. The fund represents a strategic offering focused on companies positioned for changing trade patterns, supply-chain localization, domestic capital investment, defense spending, and U.S. energy and industrial demand.
