Deinove S.A. was formerly a biotechnology firm dedicated to discovering, developing, and producing compounds derived from microbial sources for global applications in health, nutrition, and cosmetics. The company’s pipeline previously included DNV3837, an antibiotic candidate that was undergoing Phase II clinical trials for treating Clostridioides difficile infections. In the cosmetics sector, it offered ingredients such as PHYT-N-Resist, an anti-aging component; Luminity, a carotenoid-based ingredient noted for blue light absorption and antioxidant properties; HEBELYS, a natural active ingredient from Sphingomonas fermentation; and BIOME Oléoactif, a post-biotic extract designed to balance skin microbiota. Deinove also pursued the development of natural ingredients for animal feed. The company's innovative approach centered on exploring microbial biodiversity to address challenges like antibiotic resistance and to create bio-based active ingredients. Deinove operated through partnership agreements with various entities including bioMérieux, Naicons, Medpace, Institut Pasteur, Hallstar Group, Sharon Laboratories, Oléos-Hallstar, Greentech, and Avril. Founded in 2006, the company was headquartered in Grabels, France. However, in late 2022, Deinove initiated receivership proceedings, which were subsequently converted to judicial liquidation in January 2023 due to a lack of viable takeover bids. Consequently, the company ceased its operations, and its shares were suspended from trading.
