Business
Matin Spinning Mills PLC, a member of DBL Group, is a Bangladesh-based textile manufacturing company engaged in the production, spinning, and marketing of a diverse range of cotton, synthetic, and blended yarns for the export-oriented ready-made garment (RMG) industry. The company operates modern spinning facilities that produce specialized and customized yarn products, offering a portfolio comprising combed and carded cotton yarns; mélange yarns; synthetic and blended yarns including polyester-cotton and poly-viscose blends; vortex spun yarns; slub and siro yarns; injected and neppy effect yarns; snow and twisted yarns; open-end yarns; organic and sustainable yarns, including Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) and Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certified cotton; recycled fiber blends; and post-spinning processing, winding, and quality-testing services. Matin Spinning Mills PLC operates its primary manufacturing facility in Sardagonj, Kashimpur, Gazipur, Bangladesh, and supplies domestic export-oriented knitters, weavers, and global apparel brands across Europe, North America, and Asia. In recent operational developments, the company completed and ramped up commercial production at its Special Yarn Unit, a major capital investment project financed in part through the German Investment Corporation (DEG) featuring advanced Swiss and Japanese spinning machinery, which expanded its daily production capacity by approximately 10 metric tons to cater to increasing demand for premium, value-added yarns. In addition, the company implemented green energy and BMRE (Balancing, Modernisation, Rehabilitation, and Expansion) initiatives, integrating industrial rooftop solar power generation systems and energy-efficient technologies across its manufacturing infrastructure to optimize operational efficiency and meet environmental sustainability standards. Founded in 2002 and commencing commercial operations in 2006, Matin Spinning Mills PLC is headquartered in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and trades on the Dhaka Stock Exchange under the ticker MATINSPINN.
