Founded in 1968 and headquartered in Yalova, Turkey, Aksa Akrilik serves the textile, technical textiles, and chemicals industries as a subsidiary of Akkök Holding, with an annual acrylic fiber production capacity of 308,000 tons, positioning it as the world's largest producer under one roof. In 2025, the company completed the acquisition of Dow Europe's remaining 50% stake in the DowAksa joint venture for $125 million after regulatory approval, gaining full ownership of carbon fiber production assets; it also decided to merge with its wholly owned subsidiary BTB Havacilik, reflecting ongoing strategic consolidation.
