Business
Desert Minerals Ltd. is an Australia-based mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and advancement of lithium and gold projects in Australia and the United States. The Company’s principal assets comprise the Scotty Lithium Project in Nevada, United States, which encompasses prospective lithium-sediment and lithium-brine targets, and the Mt Monger North and South Gold Projects in Western Australia. Desert Minerals conducts geological mapping, geochemical and soil sampling, geophysical surveys, drill targeting, resource-definition drilling and related mineral exploration activities, with the objective of delineating JORC-compliant mineral resources and advancing projects toward development or potential partnership opportunities. Its target markets include lithium supply-chain participants, mining companies, strategic investors and potential project-development partners. The Scotty Lithium Project covers approximately 78.1 square kilometres in Nevada, approximately 189 kilometres northwest of Las Vegas, and is situated near the Bonnie Claire Lithium Project. The Company reported a maiden JORC 2012 Mineral Resource Estimate for Scotty in August 2026 of 264.9 million tonnes grading 1,006 parts per million lithium, comprising 139.8 million tonnes of Indicated Resources grading 1,002 parts per million lithium and 125.1 million tonnes of Inferred Resources grading 1,011 parts per million lithium. It also identified a separate exploration target northwest of the defined resource of 218 million to 327 million tonnes grading 990 to 1,490 parts per million lithium. The Mt Monger projects are located in the Western Australian Goldfields and are prospective for gold mineralisation. Desert Minerals is headquartered in Subiaco, Western Australia, and operates through interests in its Nevada and Western Australian exploration properties. The Company was established as a separately listed exploration company following an initial public offering process announced in 2025, under which it was intended to hold a 51% interest in the Scotty Lithium Project and an 80% interest in the Mt Monger North and South Gold Projects; the transaction separated these assets from Loyal Metals Limited and positioned Desert Minerals as a dedicated lithium and gold exploration vehicle. Recent strategic developments include the completion of a A$1.0 million placement in June 2026 through the issue of 2.86 million shares at A$0.35 per share to professional and sophisticated investors. Proceeds are allocated to follow-up exploration at Scotty, exploration and drill-planning activities at Mt Monger, assessment of complementary value-accretive opportunities and working capital. The Company has also proposed performance-rights incentives for directors and facilitator options associated with the placement as part of its capital-management and personnel-retention strategy.
