Global X Data Center & Digital Infrastructure ETF (DTCR) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results corresponding generally to the price and yield performance, before fees and expenses, of the Solactive Data Center REITs & Digital Infrastructure Index. Launched on October 27, 2020, and issued by Global X Management Company LLC, headquartered in New York, the ETF invests at least 80% of its total assets in securities comprising the index, including American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) and Global Depositary Receipts (GDRs), focusing on global companies engaged in data centers, cellular towers, and digital infrastructure hardware. Its portfolio spans real estate investment trusts (REITs) such as Equinix Inc. (EQIX), Digital Realty Trust Inc. (DLR), American Tower Corp. (AMT), and Crown Castle Inc. (CCI); data center operators like Applied Digital Corp. (APLD), GDS Holdings Ltd. (GDS), Keppel DC REIT, and NextDC Ltd.; and digital infrastructure providers including semiconductor and hardware firms such as Winbond Electronics Corp., Micron Technology Inc. (MU), NVIDIA Corp. (NVDA), and Broadcom Inc. (AVGO), with sector allocations of approximately 50% information technology, 46% real estate, and 3-4% materials. The fund operates globally, with top holdings from the United States, Singapore, Australia, China, and other regions, targeting investors seeking exposure to the expanding digital economy driven by generative AI, 5G networks, mobile connectivity, and smart grids. In April 2024, the ETF underwent a significant rebranding, changing its name from Global X Data Center REITs & Digital Infrastructure ETF and trading symbol from VPN to its current designation, effective at the opening of business, while maintaining unchanged strike prices and option terms. More recently, in October 2025, Global X expanded its AI ecosystem offerings, incorporating DTCR alongside funds like AIQ, BOTZ, and the newly launched AI Semiconductor & Quantum ETF (CHPX), with the suite surpassing $6 billion in assets under management to capitalize on rising demand for next-generation computing infrastructure. The ETF continues to benefit from robust sector tailwinds, with global data center revenues projected to grow from $416 billion in 2024 to $624 billion by 2029.
