- WisdomTree U.S. Dividend ex-Financials Fund (DTN) is an exchange-traded fund that tracks the WisdomTree U.S. Dividend ex-Financials Index, focusing on high dividend-yielding companies in the United States excluding the financial sector. The fund selects the 10 highest dividend-yielding stocks from each of the 10 non-financial sectors within the 300 largest companies by market capitalization in the WisdomTree U.S. Dividend Index, providing investors with exposure to dividend income from sectors such as consumer discretionary, consumer staples, energy, health care, industrials, materials, real estate, technology, communication services, and utilities. It offers quarterly dividend distributions and is passively managed to replicate the index's price and yield performance before fees and expenses.
Launched on June 16, 2006, the fund is issued by WisdomTree Trust, a series of WisdomTree ETFs sponsored by WisdomTree, Inc., which is headquartered in New York, New York, and was founded in 1985. WisdomTree, Inc. operates globally, offering a diversified suite of exchange-traded products (ETPs), models, and solutions primarily targeting institutional and retail investors seeking income-generating strategies in equity, fixed income, commodities, currency, and alternative assets.
The fund primarily serves investors interested in U.S. large-cap dividend strategies outside financials, with assets under management around $387 million as of late 2025 and holdings diversified across approximately 102 stocks. Recent activity for the broader WisdomTree organization, which manages DTN, includes the completion of the acquisition of Ceres Partners, LLC in October 2025, marking entry into U.S. farmland investments as a private asset platform; the launch of tokenized funds such as the WisdomTree Private Credit and Alternative Income Digital Fund (CRDT) in September 2025 and the WisdomTree Equity Premium Income Digital Fund (EPXC) in December 2025; and record assets under management of $137.2 billion reported in the third quarter of 2025 with 11% annualized organic growth. These developments reflect WisdomTree's strategic expansion into private markets, tokenization, and alternative income solutions.
