DTE Energy maintains non-utility operations across multiple states including Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. Founded in 1903 as the predecessor Detroit Edison Company and tracing gas operations to 1849, the company is headquartered at One Energy Plaza in Detroit, Michigan, and employs over 10,000 people.
