Business
RBB Fund Trust - Longview Advantage ETF (EBI) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in equity securities of a diverse group of U.S. companies across market sectors, market capitalizations, and industry groups; it employs a systematic, evidence-based strategy incorporating valuation timing, momentum tilt, profitability screening, and an unconstrained approach free from traditional style boxes to dynamically adjust toward value opportunities while remaining fully invested in the U.S. total stock market. The fund selects stocks based on high profitability-to-value ratios, leverages academic research concepts such as "Sin a Little" valuation timing and short-lived momentum phenomena, and benchmarks against the Bloomberg US 3000 Index; top holdings as of recent data include NVIDIA (approximately 5.6%), Microsoft (4.9%), and Apple (3.86%), with approximately 3,489 holdings and a net expense ratio of 0.25% (prospectus fee of 0.15 basis points before waivers). Launched on February 25, 2025, under the RBB Fund Trust--the first organized multiple series trust founded in 1988 and headquartered in Wilmington, Delaware--EBI debuted with approximately $440-500 million in assets under management via seed capital, including 75% in-kind contributions from other ETFs (notably Dimensional funds) and 25% direct equity, utilizing IRS Section 351 exchanges to enable tax-free diversification for investors transferring appreciated securities. Recent developments include rapid AUM growth to over $576 million by late 2025, driven by inflows from Hill Investment Group Partners, LLC (the adviser, a St. Louis-based RIA with $1.1 billion in client assets managing about half of EBI's assets) and 14 institutional owners; the fund has maintained efficient trading agility due to its relatively smaller scale compared to mega-managers, with no reported partnerships, acquisitions, or major strategic shifts beyond its initial launch. EBI targets financial advisors, family offices, and individual investors seeking a U.S. equity total market solution with enhanced expected returns, low fees, and tax efficiency, operating exclusively in developed North American markets through its Nasdaq listing.
