Harbor ETF Trust – Harbor Osmosis Emerging Markets Resource Efficient ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term capital growth through investments in equity securities of resource-efficient large- and mid-capitalization companies in emerging markets. The Fund’s shares trade on NYSE Arca under the ticker EFFE. Harbor Capital Advisors, Inc. serves as investment adviser, and Osmosis Investment Management US LLC serves as subadviser; Osmosis has managed the Fund since 2024 through a quantitative investment process led by Robbie Parker and Alex Stephen. Harbor ETF Trust is headquartered at 111 South Wacker Drive, Chicago, Illinois. The Fund offers investors diversified emerging-markets equity exposure using Osmosis’s proprietary Resource Efficiency Scores, which assess issuers relative to sector peers based on publicly reported carbon emissions, water consumption and waste generation. Under normal market conditions, EFFE invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, in resource-efficient emerging-markets companies included in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index that rank within the top three quintiles of applicable sector resource-efficiency scores; financial-sector companies are included to maintain benchmark-related factor exposures. The portfolio generally comprises approximately 70 to 90 companies and is rebalanced monthly. The Fund may invest up to 20% of net assets in other investments, including investment companies and securities not considered resource efficient, when necessary to maintain country, sector and factor exposures relative to its benchmark. It may hold securities denominated in U.S. dollars and foreign currencies and excludes tobacco companies, manufacturers of cluster munitions or anti-personnel mines, and issuers that breach United Nations Global Compact social and governance safeguards. EFFE’s products and services consist of publicly traded ETF shares providing access to an actively managed, quantitatively constructed emerging-markets equity portfolio; exposure to companies selected for comparatively lower carbon emissions, water use and waste generation; and portfolio diversification across emerging-market countries, industries and currencies. Shares are available to individual and institutional investors through broker-dealers in the secondary market, while authorized participants create and redeem Creation Units. The Fund charges a 0.69% management fee and had estimated total annual operating expenses of 0.78% at launch, including acquired fund fees and expenses. The Fund represents a recent strategic product expansion by Harbor ETF Trust and Harbor Capital Advisors into resource-efficiency-focused active ETFs through the Osmosis Investment Management partnership. EFFE was launched in December 2024 alongside the Harbor Osmosis International Resource Efficient ETF, expanding Harbor’s investment lineup with emerging-markets and international equity strategies that integrate proprietary environmental-resource-efficiency data with benchmark-aware portfolio construction.
