- Arabia Investments Holding S.A.E. (formerly known as Arabia for Investment and Development) is an Egypt-based diversified holding company engaged in direct investments, development, and commercial operations across non-banking financial services, automotive distribution, industrial manufacturing, and infrastructure contracting. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the company operates across domestic and regional markets in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), catering to individual consumers, corporate enterprises, and public sector institutions. The company conducts its business through four core operational segments: Non-Banking Financial Services, Automotive and Heavy Machinery, Construction and Industrial Infrastructure, and Building Materials. Through its Non-Banking Financial Services segment, the company offers retail installment financing, automotive purchase credit, durable goods financing, and personal loans through its subsidiary Rawaj Consumer Finance; as well as corporate financial leasing, small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) equipment financing, and commercial factoring services through UE Finance (Upper Egypt Finance). Through its Automotive and Heavy Machinery segment, the company engages in the import, distribution, assembly, and retail of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, cargo trucks, buses, forklifts, and industrial machinery; the distribution of OEM spare parts, components, and tires; and the operation of dedicated maintenance centers, collision repair facilities, and after-sales service workshops through subsidiaries including Cairo for Development and Cars Manufacturing (CDCM). Through its Construction and Industrial Infrastructure segment, primarily operated through Societe Egyptienne d'Entreprises (Kahromika), the company delivers turnkey engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions; electromechanical contracting; construction of electrical substations, power plants, and high-voltage transmission networks; and maintenance services for the industrial, petroleum, and energy sectors. Through its Building Materials segment, the company manufactures and distributes autoclaved aerated concrete (AAC) lightweight blocks, concrete bricks, and precast building components. In recent operational and corporate developments, the company executed a strategic reorganization and corporate rebranding from Arabia for Investment and Development to Arabia Investments Holding to reflect its multi-sector investment model; expanded its non-banking financial services platform by completing multiple asset-backed securitization bond issuances for Rawaj and UE Finance to fund loan portfolio growth; launched proprietary digital financing channels and mobile lending services for retail consumers; entered new commercial merchant partnerships to scale point-of-sale installment plans across consumer electronics, home improvement, and automotive sectors; and restructured its electromechanical contracting division to focus on high-priority national power grid, renewable energy, and infrastructure projects while divesting non-core asset holdings to optimize liquidity.
