(ICON) is an Egypt-based industrial manufacturing and engineering contracting company specializing in the production of steel building systems, prefabricated modular units, and insulated cladding solutions. Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the company operates across the building materials, industrial manufacturing, and engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) sectors, operating primary manufacturing facilities in 10th of Ramadan City and Wadi Houf to serve commercial, industrial, agricultural, and infrastructure clients across Egypt, the Middle East, and Africa. The company organizes its business activities into several core product and service categories: Insulated Sandwich Panels and Cladding, including continuous polyurethane (PUR), polyisocyanurate (PIR), and rockwool insulated panels for roofing and exterior wall systems, corrugated steel sheets, cold-formed C- and Z-purlins, flashing, and architectural cladding accessories; Prefabricated and Modular Buildings, comprising portable site cabins, mobile caravans, workforce accommodation camps, modular field clinics, portable security units, and prefabricated administrative offices; Structural Steel and Pre-Engineered Systems, encompassing heavy and medium structural steel fabrication, pre-engineered steel buildings (PEB), crane bridge girders, highway crash barriers, and galvanized guardrails; Cold Storage and Insulated Enclosures, offering walk-in cold rooms, refrigerated warehouse panels, insulated sectional overhead doors, and fire-rated door assemblies; and Turnkey Contracting and EPC Services, delivering civil works, steel erection, electromechanical (MEP) installations, architectural finishing, and project management for industrial factories, logistics facilities, and large-scale infrastructure developments. In addition, the company maintains strategic equity holdings in key construction equipment and scaffolding manufacturers, including its subsidiary Acrow Misr for Metallic Scaffolding and Formwork. In recent operations, ICON has advanced strategic initiatives to expand production capacity, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and grow its regional footprint. The company has enhanced its continuous panel production lines and automated modular manufacturing capacity to service high-priority domestic mega-projects, including residential camps, utility modules, and administrative infrastructure for the New Administrative Capital, New Alamein, and the El Dabaa Nuclear Power Project. ICON has also accelerated export activities targeting the reconstruction and infrastructure sectors in Libya, Saudi Arabia, and select Sub-Saharan African markets to expand foreign currency earnings. Furthermore, the company has expanded its specialized cold-chain and high-specification fire-retardant building systems to capture growing demand across the logistics, food processing, and pharmaceutical storage industries, while strengthening operational synergies with its affiliate network to deliver integrated industrial construction packages.
