- Geos for Trading and Contracting (General Company for Silos and Storage, EGX: GEOS) is an Egypt-based company engaged in agricultural commodity storage, general trading, logistics, and infrastructure contracting services. Founded in 1966 and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the company operates across major Egyptian commercial hubs and seaports, serving government entities, agricultural producers, food processors, and commercial traders. The company provides a comprehensive portfolio of products and services organized across multiple operational divisions, including: silo storage and bulk grain handling services for wheat, corn, barley, and oilseeds; general trading, import, export, wholesale distribution, and packaging of grains, flour, animal feed ingredients, and basic food commodities; contracting, installation, engineering, and maintenance services for metal and concrete grain silos, conveyor systems, mechanical discharge units, and storage warehouses; maritime terminal services, stevedoring, vessel unloading, and transit warehousing at Egyptian commercial ports; domestic freight transportation, fleet logistics, and cargo distribution management; and customs clearance, testing, and quality control monitoring for bulk agricultural shipments. In recent operations, the company has advanced key modernization and expansion initiatives to support national strategic commodity reserves and supply chain efficiency. It has implemented infrastructure upgrade programs across its port-based and inland silo networks, deploying automated unloading machinery, digital inventory tracking systems, and enhanced aeration and temperature control technologies. Additionally, the company has forged strategic logistics alliances with maritime and transport operators to improve vessel turnaround times, expanded its dry bulk warehousing footprint, and upgraded its heavy handling equipment to boost operational capacity and cargo throughput.
