Al Khair River for Development Agriculture Investment and Environmental Services (EGX: KRDI), commercially known as Nahr Elkhair, is an Egypt-based public shareholding company engaged in land reclamation, agricultural cultivation, livestock breeding, aquaculture, and environmental facility services. Founded in 2011 and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the company operates integrated business units serving governmental, commercial, and agricultural sectors across Egypt and regional export markets in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The company's core operations and product portfolio encompass agricultural land reclamation and civil preparation, including irrigation infrastructure installation, deep well water extraction, and renewable energy integration; field crop and orchard cultivation, producing commodities including wheat, barley, sorghum, sugar beets, broad beans, lemons, figs, and olives; medicinal and aromatic plant farming; livestock production and animal husbandry, specializing in sheep and goat breeding for meat and dairy supply; commercial fish farming and aquaculture, cultivating tilapia, mullet, basa, and catfish; and environmental and facility management services, comprising commercial cleaning, chemical pest control, facility maintenance, and the management and operation of logistics yards and parking facilities. In recent developments, the company has advanced key strategic and operational expansions to scale its business footprint. In 2026, the company secured a five-year, EGP 2.3 billion contract to supply medicinal and aromatic plants to United Arab Emirates-based Thimar, while expanding domestic farming operations through an agreement with the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation to cultivate broad bean crops. To support its ongoing growth and asset development programs, the company executed a corporate capital increase to EGP 390 million and approved the capital expansion and planned public listing on the Egyptian Exchange of its 57.28%-owned subsidiary, Al Ahly Group for Modern Agriculture.
