Operating as a subsidiary of the state-owned Holding Company for Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals and Medical Appliances (HoldiPharma), the company manufactures and markets a broad portfolio of pharmaceutical dosage forms, including solid dosage forms such as film-coated tablets, uncoated tablets, effervescent tablets, hard gelatin capsules, and oral powders; liquid and semi-solid formulations such as oral syrups, suspensions, solutions, drops, topical ointments, therapeutic creams, and gels; sterile injectables such as ampoules, vials, and lyophilized powders; ophthalmic solutions; antiseptic and disinfectant preparations; and medical devices such as surgical sutures and sterile threads. Its therapeutic offerings cover cardiovascular agents; central nervous system therapies; anti-infectives and antibiotics; analgesics, antipyretics, and anti-inflammatory drugs; respiratory and anti-asthmatic agents; endocrine and oral anti-diabetic medications; and multivitamins, minerals, and nutritional supplements. In addition to pharmaceutical formulations, the company produces cosmetic lines, including hair care treatments and dermatological creams, while offering third-party contract manufacturing, toll manufacturing under license for multinational pharmaceutical entities, quality control testing, and pharmaceutical research services. Founded in 1962 and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt, the company supplies domestic healthcare tenders, public hospitals, and retail pharmacy networks across Egypt, while exporting finished pharmaceuticals and medical materials to international markets across the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. In recent operational developments, the company has executed comprehensive modernization and rehabilitation projects across its primary manufacturing facilities under the supervision of the Ministry of Public Business Sector and the Egyptian Drug Authority to achieve full compliance with international Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards, focusing on the upgrading of sterile liquid and solid dosage production lines, the expansion of high-value licensed manufacturing partnerships, and the strategic localization of essential pharmaceutical production to enhance export capacity and national drug supply security.
