Business
Giyani Metals Corp. Giyani Metals Corp. is a Canadian battery metals development company focused on the production of sustainable, low-carbon high-purity manganese sulphate monohydrate (HPMSM) and high-purity manganese oxide (HPMO) for lithium-ion battery cathode precursor materials serving the electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage system (ESS) markets; its flagship K.Hill Manganese Project, along with the Otse and Lobatse prospects, comprises a portfolio of high-quality manganese oxide assets within the Kanye Basin in south-eastern Botswana, Africa, held through its wholly-owned subsidiary Menzi Battery Metals (Pty) Limited. Founded in 2007 and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, at Suite 1700, Park Place, 666 Burrard Street, the company employs a proprietary hydrometallurgical process to produce these battery-grade products directly from ore, positioning it as a preferred Western-world supplier amid growing demand expected to expand tenfold by 2030. Recent developments include the successful production of first HPMSM at its demonstration plant in October 2025, Phase 1 qualification of HPMO from Charge CCCV's Digital DNA Program in October 2025, receipt of a non-binding US$225 million letter of interest from the U.S. Export-Import Bank (EXIM) in June 2025 under the Supply Chain Resilience Initiative, closure of a US$26 million funding package in 2024 from ARCH Sustainable Resources Fund LP and the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa Limited, completion of 2024 resource drilling, appointment of Knight Piesold as geoscience and tailings consultant for its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) due in Q1 2026, and senior leadership changes including Nigel Robinson expanding his role as Chair in September 2025.
