In recent developments, Energy Transfer LP (the parent entity) completed the acquisition of WTG Midstream Holdings LLC in September 2024 for $3.25 billion, expanding its natural gas gathering and processing footprint in the Permian Basin with over 6,000 miles of pipelines. The company also announced a strategic partnership with Sunoco LP in late 2024 to enhance refined products logistics and formed alliances for carbon capture and storage projects to support energy transition initiatives.
