Business
S.T. Dupont SA manufactures and markets luxury goods, including high-end writing instruments such as fountain pens and ballpoint pens featuring the iconic diamond-head pattern and lacquer finishes; lighters, notably the legendary D57 model with adjustable flame and the 2017 complication lighter with double flame and torch capabilities protected by a secret code; leather goods encompassing handbags, briefcases, wallets, travel cases, belts and small leather accessories treated with the proprietary diamond powder tanning technique; jewelry; eyewear; watches; fragrances produced under license by Interparfums; and other items like cigar accessories and USB memory sticks. Founded in 1872 by Simon Tissot-Dupont as a leather goods workshop in Paris and headquartered at 92 Boulevard du Montparnasse in Paris with manufacturing in Faverges, Haute-Savoie, France, the company operates globally with subsidiaries in Asia, Europe and North America, targeting affluent consumers in France, Europe, Asia including Japan and Hong Kong, and the United States. A wholly owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Dickson Concepts since 1987 following prior partial ownership by Gillette, S.T. Dupont reported first-half 2024-2025 revenue of EUR 25.5 million, up 1.3% year-over-year, driven by 14.5% growth in France, 18.9% increase in leather goods and resolution of a commercial dispute, despite softer demand for lighters and pens in certain Asian and European markets.
