Business
Téléverbier SA operates as the leading ski lift operator in French-speaking Switzerland, managing mechanical ski lifts across the Verbier, La Tzoumaz, and Bruson ski areas within the 4 Vallées domain; co-manages the Mont-Fort sector with NV Remontées mécaniques SA; and maintains 36 lifts covering 203 kilometers of slopes equipped with extensive snowmaking facilities reaching altitudes over 3,300 meters. The company provides core services including ski pass sales (73.8% of revenue), technical engineering and lift maintenance via subsidiary Services Techniques Alpin SA serving French-speaking Switzerland, operational management of Télé-Thyon SA (44.27% ownership), high-altitude catering and restaurants (10.9% of revenue), vacation accommodation and real estate through 50%-owned T-One estate agency and T-Resort in La Tzoumaz (3.2% of revenue), as well as summer activities such as hiking, mountain biking, freeriding, ski schools, and slope security. Founded in 1950 and headquartered in Verbier, Switzerland (41 Rue de Médran, CP 419, 1936 Verbier), Téléverbier focuses on the leisure and recreation sector targeting skiers, snowboarders, and outdoor enthusiasts primarily in Switzerland, with net sales geographically concentrated in the country at CHF 70.69 million for fiscal year 2024. Recent developments include progressing construction of a new Télémix lift connecting Carrefour to Savoleyres with building permit applications underway for potential opening in the 2025/26 season; a partnership with Piguet Galland Bank as exclusive sponsor for the Les Esserts-Savoleyres project; denied rumors in 2024 of a majority stake acquisition by Vail Resorts amid shareholder fundraising initiatives; and sustained financial stability as a privately held entity listed on Euronext Paris (TVRB.PA) since 2001, reporting CHF 84.03 million in trailing twelve-month revenue and CHF 3.01 million in earnings under CEO Laurent Vaucher.
