Business
ExGen Resources Inc. is a Canadian mineral exploration, project-acceleration, royalty and streaming company that finances and advances mineral projects principally through joint ventures, option agreements, carried interests, royalties and partnership arrangements. The Company focuses on copper, gold, silver and lithium opportunities, with activities and interests in Canada, the United States and Chile. Its portfolio includes an effective 20% carried interest in the Empire copper-gold project in Idaho; the DOK claims within the Telegraph copper-gold project in British Columbia’s Golden Triangle; the Spark North and Spark South lithium properties in Elko County, Nevada; the Boss gold-copper project and Buena Vista copper project in Nevada; the Gordon Lake gold project in the Northwest Territories; the MacRex property in British Columbia; and royalties on four Golden Triangle mineral projects. ExGen also holds a silver stream on the Andacollo Oro Gold Project in Chile’s Coquimbo Region, entitling it to purchase 66.67% of silver production until 666,667 ounces have been delivered, and 33.33% thereafter, in each case at 20% of the monthly market price, subject to the underlying project’s production and contractual terms. The Company serves mining-sector partners by providing project funding and retaining exposure to exploration success, project development and potential future production-related cash flows. ExGen was founded in 1993 and is headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Recent strategic developments include the completion in July 2026 of the acquisition of interests in three Nevada lithium properties; the August 2026 amendment and exercise of its option to acquire a 100% interest in the MacRex property; the expansion of a non-brokered private placement of up to 10.081 million units at C$0.10 per unit for potential gross proceeds of C$1.081 million; the adoption of semi-annual financial reporting in May 2026; and the January 2026 execution of a Silver Stream Agreement with Sol de Oro Mining Ltd. relating to Andacollo Oro. In August 2025, ExGen and MTB Metals Corp. entered into a non-binding letter of intent for a potential business combination intended to create a copper, gold and lithium exploration and development company, although the proposed transaction remained subject to definitive documentation, shareholder, court and TSX Venture Exchange approvals and other conditions.
