The company offers contract operations including natural gas compression, processing, and treating through managed equipment fleets; aftermarket services encompassing parts sales, maintenance, repair, overhaul, upgrades, startup, commissioning, and reconfiguration; and product sales featuring custom-engineered natural gas compression packages, cryogenic plants, mechanical refrigeration units, dew point control plants, condensate stabilizers, wellheads, gathering systems, residue and high-pressure compression equipment, water treatment systems, integrated power generation, and skid-mounted production packages for onshore and offshore facilities. Founded in 1954 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, Exterran serves integrated oil and natural gas companies, national energy firms, independent producers, processors, gatherers, and pipeline operators across approximately 30 countries worldwide. In recent developments, Exterran's integration into Enerflex has enhanced scale in energy infrastructure, natural gas, energy transition, and water markets, with Enerflex reporting Q3 2025 revenue of $777 million, funds from operations of $115 million, and an engineered systems backlog of $1.1 billion amid ongoing synergies from the deal.
