- First Andes Silver Ltd. is a Canada-based mineral exploration company focused on the acquisition, exploration and development of silver, gold and polymetallic mineral properties in Peru and Australia. The Company’s principal asset is its 100%-owned Santas Gloria Silver Project, comprising three mineral concessions covering approximately 1,100 hectares in a major mining district approximately 55 kilometers east of Lima, Peru. Santas Gloria is an intermediate-sulphidation epithermal silver-base-metal vein system with more than 12 kilometers of mapped vein strike, including the San Jorge, Tembladera, Paquita, Maribel, Kelly, Rosario and Eulalia vein systems. The Company’s exploration activities include diamond drilling; geological, structural and alteration mapping; channel, rock and soil sampling; geophysical surveying; satellite-based WorldView-3 short-wave infrared spectral alteration mapping; metallurgical test work; drill-target generation; permitting; and community-relations activities. Its target commodities include silver, gold, lead and zinc, and the project is fully permitted for drilling, with community access agreements in place through 2028. The Company has not commenced commercial mining operations and does not currently generate operating revenue. In New South Wales, Australia, First Andes holds exploration licences for the Carrington, Stoney Creek and Dartmoor projects, which together cover approximately 454 square kilometers in the Lachlan Orogenic Belt and target silver-gold-base-metal mineralization, including skarn, epithermal and structurally controlled vein systems. The Company was founded in 2008 and is headquartered at 595 Howe Street, Suite 704, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It changed its name from Mantaro Precious Metals Corp. to First Andes Silver Ltd. in April 2024. Recent developments include completion of 2024-2025 drilling programs at Santas Gloria totaling 26 holes and 3,131 meters; advancement of a 2025-2026 property-wide exploration program encompassing soil geochemistry, alteration mapping, follow-up fieldwork, induced-polarization surveying, drilling-permit applications and drill targeting; delineation of a greater-than-1.2-kilometer gold-in-soil anomaly and a kilometer-scale alteration target at Santas Gloria; receipt of community agreements supporting the planned 2026 drilling program; acquisition and subsequent grant of exploration licences for the Carrington, Stoney Creek and Dartmoor projects in Australia; and closure in February 2026 of an oversubscribed C$2.0 million private placement, with proceeds designated for expanded Santas Gloria drilling, exploration, Peruvian mineral-claim payments and general working capital.
